    What do you already have?

The 10/22 is a fun little gun---plus, the sky is the limit for tricking them out.

Although, i really like my gsg-5 too. I shoot that more than my 10/22's.

Also, if .22 is what you want, maybe look at a dedicated .22 conversion for the ar you just built---then you can shoot cheaply plus use the same AR platform for practice. But, the dedicated .22 uppers are going to cost you a bit more than $500---not too much more though.

Id prefer to spend my bonuses on toys, and then the refund can go for other stuff...spread it out some

    Doesnt work that way though.

Damn I don't get bonuses and the tax refund goes to the house. I'm getting hosed.

If I had $500 to spend on a gun I'd get Ruger revolver of some sorts I guess or put it into an AR build. Bender I seen that Magpul is making some cool looking stocks and accessories for the 10/22.

So, you don't have any handguns yet? If not, i'd get one. I like glocks . Although, the xd's are nice too.

No collection is complete without these----an AR / AK, pistol, .22 rifle and a shotgun. Once you have all those bases covered, the rest are just "toys".

My tax refund is being spent on the following:

    1. Complete LaRue stealth upper assembly
    2. LaRue QD scope and Aimpoint mounts
    3. Aimpoint Comp ML3

Yeah, I get a huge refund. But it's because I'm in college and I get education credits
