Concealed carry permit timeframe
How fast can I get a CC permit in Pennsylvania? I am self employed and working in a "iffey" neighborhood. I had an incedent over a parking spot when I started the job. The parking spot is owned by my customers but this Mexican fellow figured it was his as long as my customers were at work. I did not move and he did not speak english when he yelled something at me as he drove away.
Two weeks later my truck had it's passenger side window shot out with probably a BB gun. I have seen him on three occations driving slow down the alley where I am parked and looking at the house where I'm working, and I'm not always looking outside.
The police are not much help as they can only enforce laws that are broken. If this guy come at me over a parking space that he has no right to then I need to be protected. I have no unfavorable history at all and last night I went out and purchased a 380 Bursa, the smallest handgun I had is a Ruger P89 and it's a little to large to carry.
Thanks for your inputDead center from 300 yards! a moment of clarity.

Details for Chester county are here.
To answer your question, PA requires that a LTCF be issued within 45 of application. But some sheriffs seem like they do not comply with this.Last edited by HiredGoon; January 27th, 2009 at 02:16 PM.

Re: Concealed carry permit timeframe
This does not answer your question, but if the space is your customer's, why not let the fellow have the space and you or the customer call in the police to have it towed?
Now it might make him madder but would put him on notice that he cannot park there.
Or is this public space? I am curious, because many people get the misconception that the spot in front of their house is theirs.
Good luck and don't let him get within the 10 foot knife strike range! It is you. You have all the weapons that you need. Now fight. --Sucker Punch

Re: Concealed carry permit timeframe
I got mine in under a week
My friend got his in 2
and my other friend got it the day she went in.
It all depends on where you go, when you go and how slow they are.
Good luck! Learn some curse words in ElspanioΑΣΦ

Re: Concealed carry permit timeframe
The parking spot is on their property at the rear of the house next to their garage. I always look very carefully at my surroundings before I get into or out of my truck and I don't do anything there after dark.

Re: Concealed carry permit timeframe
Note that the LTCF is a "license to carry firearms" and technically not called a "concealed carry" permit.

Re: Concealed carry permit timeframe
No FTF's yet. although I only put 100 rounds through the Thunder 380 so far. I here the problems are coming from the Firestorm 380. I also have a Ruger P89 and use to get stovepipes like crazy until I started reloading, so far over 300 rounds with out a problem, factory ammo is not for me any more.
