    Default Mosin or SKS?

If you could only get one of them, which one would you get?

I am having a hard time deciding. Thanks

    Only because I already have 3 SKS's

Otherwise, I think I'd go SKS.

If you want to have a blast and just keep pulling the trigger get an SKS.

SKS are vanishing a LOT quicker then the Mosins... get the SKS while you can, they are already going up in price and down in quality and supposedly the supply is drying up but the Mosin supply is still out there in huge numbers... plus the Mosins are a lot cheaper so even if they double in price as they get more scarce its still a sub 200.00 rifle
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

    Get the SKS first.

Mosins will be around for awhile.

If I were going to get one and only one, I'd be getting an SKS, no doubt in my mind.

I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

Wow, tough choice ... I have both (well all three, M44, 91/30 and a 1965 Chinese SKS) and I love them all 'equally' ..... hmm, shit, dammit, hell you have me seriously thinking here.

I guess if I HAD to break it down to "you can only have one" I would have to go with the SKS but MAN is it a hard decision!

    Here's my thinking:

My 91/30 makes a BIG boom, ammo is cheap and it is accurate

My M44 makes a BIGGER boom and has a REALLY cool flame when it fires (also cheap ammo BTW)

    BUT

My SKS holds 20 rounds, no bolt to deal with and it is pretty damn accurate too (after I adjusted the sites)

Call me old fashioned but a weapon I can hold 10 or 20 in, no bolt to deal with and hits "what I aim at" ... well that's my weapon of choice

SKS doesn't need a 2X4 to cycle , at times, either...........
