Re: 4:25 AM Police Visit?
Glad everything worked out for you.
At 4:25am I am usually in a deep sleep myself and being woke up the way you were it's hard to say how I would react. However I seriously doubt I would have let anyone in without a warrant. Calling 911 as others have suggested is very good advice and if this happens to me I hope I'd be cognizant enough to do just that.
In addition to a firearm on my night stand, I always keep a real good flashlight there too. It's not for me to see around the house at night, it's for identification and temporarily blinding someone if needed.Last edited by DaveM55; January 26th, 2009 at 11:44 AM.

glad to hear everything turned out well for you. just be careful with living in a appartment complex with "crazies" i used to live at suburban park apartments in york pa. which they apparently rented out to a bunch of mentally unstable people some kinda contract thing i heard , not sure though. and this is whatr went down. i moved out of the place about 6 months before the first fire which totalled the building i was living it then 10 months later this happened to the building i beleive next to it.

Re: 4:25 AM Police Visit?
Glad to hear all is well, and it definitely offers food for thought. I never considered how I'd act at 4:30 am (even though I'm usually up and in the shower) but remembering that it's easy to fake being a cop is a good thing to help remind you not to go opening doors just because someone else says to.

Re: 4:25 AM Police Visit?
Ahh see, I missed the part about where this person lived.
I never lived there, I was able to move to the Allison Park area right away when I came here, then I moved to where I am now.
Wait a minute, Are you trying to Insinuate that I might be mentally unstable?

Re: 4:25 AM Police Visit?
I've dealt with this before. You yielded a lot of rights. They had nothing on you. Don't interact with them. You would've been better off peeking out the upstairs window or a peep hole. Upon seeing police, I would have remained quiet until they had left, which they would have left. I wouldn't have given them any indication I was there, or spoken with them. we've done this before with over 200 people in the house.
