Indoor Ranges - prompted by the discussion of Iron City Armory
Like Iron City Armory, most commercial ranges that I've been to have been stuck in an industrial park. On my last visit to the Cincinnati area, I went to a range that breaks that rule big time.
The place is called "Point Blank Range and Gun Shop." It's about as "in your face" as a gun shop can get. It's in a busy strip mall, on a road with tons of shopping and a large indoor mall. The place is pretty big with a gigantic sign that screams "We are here!"
Inside, the place is clean and tidy with the products well displayed. The staff is well groomed, polite with their shirts tucked in and no backwards caps in sight.
The place is part of a chain with three or four around Cincinnati and facilities in Dayton, Cleveland, and central Indiana.

Well, Targetmaster, on 202 near West Chester, is in a "up front" location, and has a staff that looks neat, while acting like you are not there.

I think its great that firearms retailers and ranges are moving into suburbia. I'm sure having a more clean cut and uniformed staff helps the place attract the suburban market.
It may not be everyone's cup of tea. But any time you see firearms retailers expand into new markets that is always a good sign."No, it's just a machine. I'm the weapon." - Jack Harper in Oblivion

I equate the backwards baseball cap dress with wearing pants with the crotch at your knees and wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up in the middle of summer.
