Re: Richard Hughey Arms & Accoutrements (Delaware County)
Visited Mr. Hughey this week for a transfer from an online purchase and had a great experience. He was very kind and didn't mind that I had my daughter with me. Had she not been with me, I could easily have spent considerably more time there talking with him about the Civil War. He was great to do business with and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone in Delaware County or the surrounding area. I'll definitely go back to him for my next transfer.

Stopped at Dick's on my way home today and picked up my 1911. Great guy! Anyone needing a transfer done in the area, don't hesitate to give him a call.

Re: Richard Hughey Arms & Accoutrements (Delaware County)
Another great experience with Mr. Hughey!
I did (4) transfers with him again today and it was as smooth as can be. He's VERY reasonably priced for transfers, super knowledgable/friendly and makes the process so effortless. Even with some extra paperwork for picking up multiple guns, he takes care of it and makes it so you don't have to worry about anything!
You you're not made to feel like a burden/uncomfortable, like you are at certain other local places. I will always go to him, first!Last edited by ckk09; May 26th, 2014 at 11:55 AM.

Didn't know Dick had a feedback link on this site. I've had several transactions with Dick, very reasonable prices and always a pleasure to deal with.

Re: Richard Hughey Arms & Accoutrements (Delaware County)
I got my first pistol from Dick back in 2008...and have been a regular customer of his since then. I can't give him enough praise...he is a joy to work with and very professional. It is easy for me to reach him by phone or email...and he takes the time during transfers to make sure you good with what you got. I don't hesitate for him to look over my purchase and give me his opinions...he is a valuable resource that just does not exist much more in our area.
Going to Dick for a transfer is like me going to a favorite uncle...you know you are going to be treated well and have a good experience.
Don't hesitate to use him...you will be happy.

Re: Richard Hughey Arms & Accoutrements (Delaware County)
Just found this. I've done a handful of transfers with Dick going back to about 2003.
Just so people get an idea what kind of guy Dick is...
I was transferring a gun through him years ago and the gun came with a trigger lock. As Dick provides the mandated trigger lock as part of his very reasonable fee, he threw in a box of ammo instead to "make up the difference". I would have never even thought to ask.Last edited by vicious; December 6th, 2011 at 12:17 AM.

If all goes well I'll be seeing him in the next day or two. I do all my transfers with Dick, he's good people.

Re: Richard Hughey Arms & Accoutrements (Delaware County)
I just picked up my new Kimber Pro TLE II from Mr. Hughey and it was a great experience. He is very professional, makes you feel welcome and also makes the transfer process a breeze. I will be giving all of my transfer business to him.

Mr. Hughey has earned my business. No nonsense transfers, price is right and he is easily available.
He is in the buds database as a preferred FFL.
