I'd be interested as well. The GF brought this up to me the other night. She goes in and out of Philly a lot and is at train stations at all times of the night. I'm not too comfortable with her not having anything for protection etc...

most good OC is not too expensive. you can Sabre almost anywhere you can buy guns'n'ammo. if you want something really kick ass, get Foxlabs Mean Green. it works, trust me.

Dunham's Sport, Gander Mtn both sell OC. I would assume that Dick's, Cabela's, Bass Pro all do too. Plus most gun shops will have something. Should all be priced under $20. I do know that Dunhams carries several of the Sabre brand. One of which comes with an inert canister (just shoots saline) to practice with.

Also make sure they know how to use it, just like a gun, it's not just point and click.

When considering your extensive field testing of pepper spray, which would you say is worse: Fox Mean Green or the Sabre Red?

+1 on Fox Labs! I bought one for my wife, myself, and my MIL. You'll need to replace them every few years, more often if you keep them in a car (heat). Be very careful using it in a confined space (indoors) it's likely you will get "some" back splash.

After mucho research on this I went with Sabre Red. Make sure you get the models that end in "OC". I carry this one in a small flashlight belt sheath I got off ebay. .75 oz. is the legal carry size in NJ.

Phase IV is available around Pa in most Police supply stores. Never saw it for sale on the interwebs.

It's 2 million scoville units and I can verify from personal experience it hurts!

Fortress Tactical is a very good place to buy from. Mike, the CEO, is a very nice guy! I usually carry the Fox Labs pepper spray.
