Hard to Find Ammo

Just a funny little email I got from Cabela's. It cracked me up to read all the "hard to find" ammo.

You wouldn't think they'd advertise that it's hard to find ammo there.

Just like when I see a catalog of "hard to find tools", it reminds me of my workshop, it's hard to find tools there too.

I get cabellas gift cards for holidays and i cringe when i have to waste money on their hard to find ammo. Plus went looking for 308 ammo every box was 30.00 plus what a joke.

Yeah, I think marketing departments are capitalizing well on the Obama the gun grabber hysteria. Not to say he isn't, I'm just not sold on him doing so as quickly as the market is reacting.

Just wishful thinking but I'm hoping ammo does a "gasoline" on us with the declining economy. With more and more folks laid off, ammo isn't a priority for some. Perhaps the prices will start coming back down. Let's hope.

Their supply of 9mm sure has been hard to find for about 3 weeks now.

Tell me about how hard it is to get some 9mm from them.

I ordered a box of 100 Winchesters on Apr 21. I them get an e-mail saying that they are back ordered and would be received Apr 27. A few days later I get another e-mail saying May 29. I call to ask if I can increase the order to 200.

Today I called to see if I would be getting my order. I get told the new receiving date is June 15.

And they did advertise they have hard to find ammo!!! Some Joke.

I agree! I've had 1200 9mm backordered from the end of March. I guess it’s their attempt to throw some scraps at the feeding frenzy!

I finally got my 200 9mms from Cabelas on Tuesday

And a bit sooner than there couple time revised date of 6/15

Seems like an awful lot of people have thousands of rounds available to auction off. This might be part of the shortage problem!!!!!
