Re: Phila National Guard Armory
It's decent. Only about 1/3 the size of Valley Forge. Ammo prices are usually not great (only 3 sellers) but sometimes you get lucky. Usually you can find competitively priced handguns and some good milsurps. Don't expect deals on ARs, AKs and mags.
Know average prices for things you want before you go.

Re: Phila National Guard Armory
Thanks for the info. Are there generally a couple of knife dealers?

Re: Phila National Guard Armory
Yes, was there this morning. Typical overpriced ARs (Bushmasters going for $1500. cash) and AKs, and Top Hat with his usual wares. Not a big show but was getting crowded by noon.
Did see a good price on a Kimber Custom II that was tempting ... maybe tomorrow.

Re: Phila National Guard Armory
There was someone there with reloading stuff, dies, etc. There is also a vendor who sells powder and stuff in the front lobby. I don't remember seeing a whole lot of stuff but since I don't reload I wasn't really looking for that. There was someone selling "pyrotechnic" chemicals that I hadn't seen before. More knife vendors than usual. Some of the usual vendors weren't there, maybe because of the SHOT show if Florida. PAGUNguy was there as was tophat.
Worth $ 7.00. IMHO

Re: Phila National Guard Armory
The calendar posted on the Appalachian Promotions website indicates that there will be no more Armory shows this year. Wherever on the calendar an Armory show had been scheduled, the following message now appears:
"Philadelphia Army National Guard - Cancelled will resume in 2010 due to renovations"
This is more than a bit of a bummer. The place is 20 minutes away from me... and I could take in the whole thing in an hour.
