    Default Primer seated sideways

Hi I've been reading these forums for a few weeks now, mostly the reloading section. A lot of good info and new stuff everyday. I just started priming a few shells today, and one of the primers went in sideways. Can I take it out with the resizing die and put a new one in, or should I just toss it?

Yes, you can use the die to remove it. Just make sure you are wearing eye protection if you are not already doing so.

what priming tool are you using?

I've never had a primer go in wrong yet, thankfully.

We use the lee auto priming tool. We also have the rcbs automatic bench priming tool that we haven't used in a while.

I'm using a RCBS hand primer. I'm not sure how it went in there sideways, they were all flipped over right on the tray.

Are you people serious? A primer going off is nothing. I would not point it at my face but jesus.. its not like an out of battery explosion.

Run it through the sizer and be done with it... eye and hearing protection? Show me a picture of yourself reloading with eye and hearing protection.
