Legality of Backyard Range
My friend just purchased a house in Thornbury Township, Delaware County. He is sitting on about 7 acres of land and wanted to know the legality of putting up a small range for personal use in the woods behind his house. Does anyone here know where I could obtain that sort of information?
Thanks

Re: Legality of Backyard Range
He will have to check with the township/borough for ordinances prohibiting ranges and/or discharging firearms. There are no state laws prohibiting it beyond some possible endangerment or similar charges.
If legal locally, beside to design and erect a well made backstop.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515
