My "Road Rage' incident, see Q & A for the hot one
I work in an industrial park in Hazleton. One summer afternoon on my way home in the Jeep, top down no doors, (referred to as naked in the Jeep world) I stop at a light on the exit of the industrial park. The transition from park roads to public.
I am in the left hand side of two left hand turning lanes. In the right hand left turn lane in a guy on a cell with his window down. He is bothered by someone's loud music. He is right next to me and yells out his open window, "Turn that radio down!!"
I said, "It's not my radio."
He reply's with, "Turn that F***ing radio down!!!"
I said, "It's not my f***ing radio."
So he hangs up the phone, gets out of his vehicle, and steps next to my Jeep. Looks at the dash, see no radio exists, and then looks at me.
Then I said, "It's not my F***ing radio, it's his." And I pointed to the guy behind him. About that time the light turned green and our lane pulled away as his vehicle, without him in it, blocked a lane of rush hour traffic.

LOL. I'm going to get a plastic middle finger so next time someone flips me off I'll hold that up. Theyre either going to get a little kick out of it and let it go or de-evolve into a lesser human/2nd grader and take it as a challenge of honor.
---To the OP, sometimes theres nothing you can do except wait it out at a traffic light. Some people are looking for a fight nomatter what you do. They live in a world of anger and defending their code of honor. Most of these people usually end up in jail or at home beating their wives.Last edited by jcabin; January 11th, 2009 at 01:35 PM.

generally speaking most people that have jeeps wranglers are people I would rather not piss off... especially if they are the kind that take the doors and roof off.. it normally means they like being outside in the sun and thus are in fairly good shape...
or at least good enough shape to kick my assThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

ha, reminds me of a joke i saw.
I was riding to work yesterday when I observed a female driver, who cut right in front of a pickup truck, causing the driver to drive onto the shoulder to avoid hitting her. This evidently angered the driver enough that he hung his arm out is window and gave the woman the finger.
"Man, that guy is stupid," I thought to myself. I ALWAYS smile nicely and wave in a sheepish manner whenever a female does anything to me in traffic, And here's why:
I drive 48 miles each way every day to work.
That's 96 miles each day.
Of these, 16 miles each way is bumper-to-bumper.
Most of the bumper-to-bumper is on an 8 lane highway.
There are 7 cars every 40 feet for 32 miles.
That works out to 982 cars every mile, or 31,424 cars.
Even though the rest of the 32 miles is not bumper-to-bumper, I figure I pass at least another 4000 cars.
That brings the number to something like 36,000 cars that I pass every day..
Statistically, females drive half of these.
That's 18,000 women drivers!
In any given group of females, 1 in 28 has PMS.
That's 642.
According to Cosmopolitan, 70% describe their love life as dissatisfying or unrewarding.
That's 449.
According to the National Institute of Health, 22% of all females have seriously considered suicide or homicide.
That's 98.
And 34% describe men as their biggest problem.
That's 33.
According to the National Rifle Association, 5% of all females carry weapons and this number is increasing.
That means that EVERY SINGLE DAY, I drive past at least one female that has a lousy love life, thinks men are her biggest problem, has seriously considered suicide or homicide, has PMS, and is armed.
Give her the finger? I don't think so...
