Brady grades get an F again
The anti-gun group Brady has seen fit to be lord and emperor of deciding according to them what make a safe state is more gun control laws.
So they have established their own grading system to use for Public Relation purposes.
Brady grades get an F again
The Brady Campaign ranks North Dakota 44th out of 50 States, with only 4 of 100 possible points.
Just in time for the North Dakota Attorney General to announce that in 2008 the State had ZERO gun homicides. And only two homicides at all, both stabbings.

Less Murders in ND in 2008
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says North Dakota has had only two murders so far this year. He says that's the lowest yearly number for the state in at least 30 years.
Stenehjem says North Dakota averages about 11 homicides annually for the past several years, after a high of 22 in 1993. 16 were reported last year.
Both homicide victims in North Dakota this year were stabbed to death.
Forty-three-year-old Paula Hartze, a teacher at the North Dakota School for the Deaf, was killed in her Devils Lake home in March.
An acquaintance, Billy Eagleman, is awaiting sentencing for her death.
Thirty-year-old Alden Fast Horse of Cannon Ball was stabbed to death at a Bismarck hotel in June. Two men have been charged with his death - one has pleaded guilty the other not guilty to murder.
Stenehjem says statistics show about half North Dakota's homicide victims die as a result of domestic violence. He says this year is the first year that where that was not the case
Shouldn't the opposite be true, weak gun control laws means more crime according to the anti-gunners.

Re: Brady grades get an F again
and no suprise..
CALIFORNIAScore: 79 out of 100 points State Ranking: 1 out of 50 states
NEW JERSEY Score: 63 out of 100 points State Ranking: 2 out of 50 states
and no listing for Washington DC.
Yet those three seem to have the most issues. Top it off with the DOJ statistic of
Offenders
According to the 1997 Survey of State Prison Inmates, among those possessing a gun, the source of the gun was from -
a flea market or gun show for fewer than 2%
a retail store or pawnshop for about 12%
family, friends, a street buy, or an illegal source for 80%
During the offense that brought them to prison, 15% of State inmates and 13% of Federal inmates carried a handgun, and about 2%, a military-style semiautomatic gun.
On average, State inmates possessing a firearm received sentences of 18 years, while those without a weapon had an average sentence of 12 years.
Among prisoners carrying a firearm during their crime, 40% of State inmates and 56% of Federal inmates received a sentence enhancement because of the firearm.
My brain hurts at the leaps of logic that legislators make to try to enact their bullshit.

Re: Brady grades get an F again
I see PA got a 26/100.... I would like to see us on par with ND though... that would be great.
I always here gun owner's saying that they don't understand why these bradities "don't get it". Guns reduce crime when law abiding citizens own and carry them... so why the assault on our rights? You seriously think these people don't know this to be true? And by these people, I mean the people manipulating the statistics and running the organization, not these useful idiots repeating the lies from above. That's why they ban your guns while keeping theirs...
These people are control freaks, and they don't want an armed populace. They want a passive populace who depends on the state for everything (protection, work, food, transportation) so they can dominate you. If you ever noticed, the states with the most gun control usually have the most restrictions(licenses, permits, etc) and taxation.
It's about making you a slave to their beast system. Standing up for your rights and your safety doesn't interest them, power does.... if they ban guns, crime goes up, and that gives them an excuse to put more police on the street (classic problem-reaction-solution). You are disarmed, and they got this great private army of thugs (the police) who will just follow orders (like sending agent provocateurs in to commit violence so they can break up your peaceful protest, or arresting you and charging you with charges they know to be false) when you try to assert your rights. It's win-win for these people, and lose-lose for you.
