    Default How much of a round does body armor stop.

    Guys how large of a round does body armor withstand up to. My understanding it is good all the way up to small hand gun rounds say 10mm or so.

    What kind of body armor? The set I have will stop a 7.62 AP round.

    I believe there are several different ratings of amour you can get. There is even a company that offer knife resistant stuff.

    yeah believe it depends on the armor and if it has plates or not
    The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

    Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

    depends, as stated, on the type of armor, the style of armor, the round used and the distance.

    an average police vest will stop up to .45 and 9mm. some are able to stop knives as well. again, it all depends...

    like folks said, its all in the design and type of armor.

    I have some vietnam era steel and ceramic clamshell aircrew armor that will take 30-06 AP at point blank.
