Indoor/outdoor range?

thought some of you might enjoy seeing what I spend my time doing in the "off-season" around camp if I'm not actually "in" the woods....
Here's the view from one of the 2nd story back rooms of the cabin. It JUST so happens to line up w/ the back deck and shooting lane/range I am working on.....hmmm. Coincidence? I think NOT! lol

That little pile of spent cartridges is only a small fraction of what I normally shoot in a weekend. Those are just the ones that stayed on the table top. the floor was a solid layer of .22 shells after two days.

here's a view from the deck back in early Nov. .....

Right now to the target/backstop is ~90yards. That is to a natural berm/creek bank that provides a very safe bullet stop tho I will be making improvements/refinements to that come spring also. I can probably get up to 175 yards if I go beyond that but then I loose my natural backstop. Suggestions for this? Just a great big pile of dirt/logs? even thought about making a steel bullet trap/target of some sort. I wanna be able to practice w/ the M1A/.308 at 200....thoughts and suggestions are VERY much appreciated... -Toby
