Default Moving to NJ - Can I Still Legally Carry in PA w/ PA Permit?

I'll be moving to NJ in a few months (spare the NJ jokes please ), and was wondering after I move, can I still legally carry in PA with my valid PA permit?

My job will still be in PA, and there will be times I'll be working late at night which is when I currently carry. Of course I would need to transport the gun legally (meaning unloaded w/ ammo separately) until I was in PA, and then carry if I was allowed to.

Actually, if you give up your PA residency in favor of NJ, you are not allowed back in the state. Ever.

No, because you are no longer a "resident of PA".

And once you reside in NJ, you won't be able to get a non-resident license PA law requires you to obtain a license from your home state before applying for a non-resident license.

There is of course the, non-resident FLA license avenue.........

I can see that he would not be able to renew his LTCF. But does your current LTCF cease to be valid when you move?

Why are you moving to NJ?

I wish I could have stayed in PA myself, but when you are self employed and people just won't come to you, no one wants to hire you for some dinky job to pay the bills ( overqualified LOL), and you have bills out to the wazoo in overhead, moving back to the parents property vs foreclosure and bankruptcy, just makes sense.
    LOL, I am a woman...

    IANAL,
LTCF or no, as a PRNJ escapee, I think you would have a really rough time talking a NJ cop into the transport in NJ being to or from a place of use. This is usually applied to ranges, gunsmith, things of this nature.
Perhaps one of our legal minds will chime in on this one.

Are you sure about this? I am not aware of any law that requires your information to match the permit as issued (my address is well out of date at this point, granted it's within the same city.) What law invalidates your permit if you move out of state? I can understand not being able to renew, but I don't think a current one is automatically voided.

This obviously may be a question for the lawyers in the end.
