Default The ZIGANA T 9mm automatic pistol

The ZIGANA T is a double-action semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm and is said to be very accurate and easy to filed strip and maintain etc. I was thinking it would be a great service pistol if a .45ACP variant was manufactured. Has anyone here ever came to use one of these?.

    CUE: 9mm vs .45 debate.

CUE: There are plenty of other pistols out there which have been proven extremely reliable in real world scenarios vs some mystery-brand firearm debate.

    WTF?

My first question would be whether it has a U.S. style safety or a bass-ackwards Euro safety? Does that red dot exposed mean it is on "fire" or that thumbing the safety down to the red dot is "fire"? If something like that isn't obvious, even to the L.C.D., it does not make for a good service pistol. Add that to the list...

Even as a private weapon, as Jmiro states it looks like a knock-off of the CZ 75 family. That design, thanks to Cold War era Communists not believing in evil capitalist notions like filing patents, is basically public domain. So anyone who wants to can just go ahead and make them. Which is way better than having to pay engineers to actually design something new. But why buy an imitation when the original is pretty cheap anyway?

"Trabzon Gun Industry" of Turkey also offers an M1911, which I believe someone is importing, or at least threatening to import .
