Default Did the LTCF application process change?

My friend who lives in Lebanon county is ready to apply for his LTCF. When I got mine, I printed out the application online, but I don't see that option on the PSP site anymore. Has the process changed, i.e., does he have to go to the courthouse to apply?

    Thanks
    Dave

No changes that I'm aware of. Most people download from the county sheriff where they reside

    Such as:

    Some counties do on-line.
    Some Don't

ETA: the counties section will lead you to a downloadable form.

And you won't find it on the PSP site because the PSP doesn't handle it. You have to go through your local county sheriff (except Philadelphia, because they're special).

Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are cities of the first class so you need to register with the city police.

Just wanted to jump in and make a correction here…

Philadelphia is the only “city of the first class” in Pennsylvania. To be a “city of the first class,” the city must have a population greater than one million (1,000,000) people. Pittsburgh does not qualify and is a “city of the second class” (the only “city of the second class” in Pennsylvania, as it turns out).

    From http://www.psats.org/today_About_PA_Municipalites.pdf:
In 1895, when some cities were growing rapidly, the state assigned them to four population classes. These classifications, which still exist today, allow the General Assembly to pass laws for cities according to their population:
    • First Class – 1 million or more
    • Second Class – 250,000 – 999,999
    • Second Class A – 80,000 – 249,999
    • Third Class – cities with a population of less than 250,000 that have not elected to become a city of the second class A.

Philadelphia, the oldest and largest city in Pennsylvania, is the only city of the first class, and all laws pertaining to cities of the first class are for Philadelphia alone. Likewise, Pittsburgh is the state’s only city of the second class, and Scranton the only city of the second class A. In all three cities, the elected mayor is the dominant force in government and has broad administrative, appointive, and removal powers.

Used to be able to download the form from PSP site. I can not find it now.
Either way, PSP is in charge of the form per 6109. The form that the county sheriff's use for the application.
