    Default Deer Bologna!

A friend gave me two rolls of deer bologna yesterday! How cool is that?

One is bologna & cheese, the other is bologna, cheese & hot peppers!

I've been enjoying the one with hot peppers today. Tomorrow I will cut the tubes into smaller sizes and freeze them.

I grew up on venison and it is my son's favorite meat.

My X used to do venison steaks in the crock pot all day & serve them over rice. It was a banquet!

So who among us loves venison, and who here has never tasted it? Be honest!

For that matter, how many of you remember having pickled tongue? Pickled tail? How many remember squirrel potpie?

Last but not least, how many have ever eaten groundhog? (yeah, I'm giving my age away)

Stir fry or pepper steak is better with venison than beef in my opinion.

Try making some meatballs with lean venison burger. Just put some sauce in the burger when mixing your ingredients to keep them juicy.

And yeah, most venison bologna puts Hickory Farms to shame!

I agree on the fried bologna part Paul. Been eating it for too many years!

As for deer heart? I do not care for it. Sort of like gizzards. Been there, done that. LOL!

We always baked the heart with stuffing in it.

    Slice and bread the liver.

Groundhog, roasted over an open oak fire on a spit...........DAMN!!!!!!!

I try to eat more venison, than other meats.
    Much healthier for you.

    Try Bison sometime!

Have you ever had a stuffed beef brisket?

We don't buy red meat at all. I go west for one or more of these every year elk, antelope, mulies, whitetail, caribou every other year and hog hunting in Florida every February. Ducks and geese in between. My wife and I both enjoy it and she will stab you in the neck over a grouse if yo try to take it away.

And if you want to race, name the place and I'll show you where it's at mother f@#$&#!
