Re: taurus judge
Nope - definately NOT for deer or small game
The Taurus Judge is a Single action/Double action revolver making it not legal for usage in PA... I guess you could use it for turkey? or fowl but that wouldn't really be overly ethicalThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Re: taurus judge
Its manually operated.. You can use it for deer legally with slugs and 45LC.
Only legal on groundhog for small game.
Small game requires:
Arms & Ammunition: 1) Manually operated and autoloading shotguns with a capacity of no more than 3 shells in the chamber and magazine combined; 2) Manually operated rifles and handguns less than 23 caliber; 3) Muzzleloading rifles and handguns 40 caliber or less and shotguns; and 4) long, recurve and compound bows and arrows. Single projectile ammunition, or fine shot pellets no larger than No.4 lead, bismuth-tin, or tungsten-iron, or No. 2 steel. Note: Rifle and handgun caliber restrictions do not apply when hunting woodchucks, although rifles and handguns must be manually operated. While hunting small game during the bear or muzzleloader deer seasons, the only rifle or handgun that can be used is a 22 caliber or less rimfire.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515

Re: taurus judge
This is not an opinion, just a question. How accurate would it be? They have a fairly short barrel, don't they. Aren't most handguns used for deer hunting of the longer barreled variety?

Re: taurus judge
Right after I posted that, I realized there is a review of it in the latest issue of American Rifleman. At 25 yards from a bench rest, the average 5-shot group w/ 250 gr. round nose flat point .45 Colt was 4.42". You probably would have to be pretty close to be confident of a clean kill shooting offhand or from a tree beyond 25 yards.
