    Default LTCF allegheny county

    So, im a little confused.

I submitted my LTCF application at the end of november, in person at the Sherrifs office
A friend of mine mailed his app in about a week later.

Friday he received the yellow card in the mail, I still havent heard anything yet. What gives?

    any ideas, thoughts, etc.

    thanks

    It's the holidays I suppose.

I delivered my renewal in person on 12/9/2008 and I'm still waiting.

Probably be here this week or next.

    Call them.

I emailed my application on 12/15, received the yellow card on 12/22, and picked it up on 12/23.

I'd call them. Since they put the new system in place everyone I know of has gotten theirs in less than a week.

So, I called the sheriffs office yesterday. They told me that my application is still being processed, and to be patient.

Does anyone know whether they have 45 days, or 45 business days to make a determination?

The way the law is worded, it's 45 calendar days, not 45 business days.

The Allegheny County Sheriff's office is better about LTCF now than in the bad old days, but still isn't near as friendly as most of the neighboring counties.

Took my daughter 3 weeks to get her card.
