    Default Grandfather

With 2008 coming to a close, I realized that my grandfather would have been 100 years old this past August. This is one of my favorite pictures of him. I thought I'd make him "immortalized" now on PAFOA.

guessing the picture is probably from the early 30s in the Woodsfield, Ohio area...
i don't have the gun or any info on it...
i remember him more for his shotguns and reloading...when my brother and I visited him in Zanesville when we were very young, he had us working in the basement reloading 12g shotgun shells...

Looking at the rural/rustic surrounding area, that rifle was a lot more useful to him in those days then ours are to us today. Often, to us they are collectible and for sport. To him, it probably actually helped provide for the Family.

Great photograph of history, thank you.

    Be safe (and nostalgic).

Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

    Rev,
That's an AWESOME photo. Thanks for posting it.

It's great that you have that to look at and remember him and the things you did together.
