    Default wrong area threads ?

I have seen a lot of threads lately in what I would think would be the incorrect areas. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the 'pistol" and "rifle" sections under "firearms" are for discussing those items. yet I have seen many lately that are "My new ____" with pics, or just a title of a firearm and pics of it.

Wouldnt those be better served in the "gun pictures" section?

on a related issue, when i see a thread in the classifield in the wrong area (like an AR upper under firearms or a pistol under ammunition) I hit the report post.
When you report post it says that it is only to be used to report threatening behavior and such. Since i have yet to be corrected i would assume the report post function is also what should be used to report classification errors.

You can hit the report button when you see threads in the wrong forum... It helps us find these posts a lot quicker so they can be put in the right forums. We can't physically read every post so the report button is very important. Just please don't abuse it and only hit it if you are certain the post or thread needs attention.

what happens if you press the "report post" more than once? say, for example, if i was bored and just kept clicking wrong post on every post on the forum like 20 times each just to pass the time???

    Oh.

I always thought that the 'report button' was the equivalent to pulling a fire alarm - use only where obvious spamming, serious fighting, or other major rules violations occurred.

am i correct in asuming these would be better off under gun pictures?

    Gun Pics section says:
Want to show off your new toy? Want to request a picture of something specific? Upload your pictures here!

    where the Firearms section says:
Pistols Want to talk pistols? Here's the place.
its no biggie, its just that I have seen a bunch of them lately.
