M&P .45 Jams
I just got a new SW M&P .45 a week before X-mas. I have already put about a hundred rounds through the gun and now Im starting to have a problem. On the second to last round the slide ejects the spent cartridge but then the last round gets jammed up and does not cycle into the chamber. It only happens every so often, usually when I have a five second interval in-between shots. I'm shooting Blazer Brass 230gr. FMJ's. The problem has occured in both of my magazines. Any Ideas on the problem?

Re: M&P .45 Jams
Try different ammo. I did a quick google and there were a couple of reports of jams with Blazer brass.

Re: M&P .45 Jams
"Jammed up" how?
Bullet hits the feedramp? Guns goes to slidelock? Starts to chamber but doesn't finish?
Lube the gun up heavily, then see what happens.
My bet...as the gun begins to weigh less, it kicks more in your hand....if not lubed up really well, and with a less than perfect grip...it could loose some slide velocity, and jam.
I've seen a few M&P's have issues like this. Just had an M&P9 pro do it the other day. Lots of lube and a killer grip and it ran....in the hands of a newer shooter, it wouldn't run 100%.
Try more lube, a stiff grip (try 1 handed, trust me) and take some pics if you can. If it does it 2 handed, not 1 handed...I have a thread for you to read

You need to chek out this site. www.mp-pistols.com . They have a thread
that has the same problem your having, and the various actions taken by
various owners, checking for burrs on the breach to sending it back to
S&W. See if any of the "fixes" can help you. If not call S&W, they will
take care of your problem.FUNDAMENTALS

Re: M&P .45 Jams
Yea...I cleaned and lubed the pistol before I even shot it for the first time, trust me I'm not under-lubricating. I talked to a sales rep. from the store that I purchased the gun from, and he said to try the following quick-fixes.
-New ammo
-Stiffer magazine spring
-Buffer/ Polish the receiving part of the barrel
I don't know if they will work for the M&P, but he stated that he had the same issue with his Glock. Maybe you have heard others trying these "quick-fixes"?

Re: M&P .45 Jams
And to add on to the last reply...the round starts to chamber, but the slide ends up hitting the back of the casing, therefore stopping the hole chambering process.
