John Palmisano Memorial Range in Wapwallopen
I am planning a trip back home (Berwick area) at the end of March. I am bringing a couple of my guns with me so my brother and I can do some shooting. I don't want to go to the SGL range in Mifflinville due to the round capacity regulations on SGL. Is John Palmisano Memorial Range in Wapwallopen, open to the public, do they allow more than 5 rounds loaded in a magizine, and do they allow rapid fire?

Re: John Palmisano Memorial Range in Wapwallopen
Last year, Dr. Palmisano was asking $50.00 per year per person for the use of his range after signing a liability statement. No guests are allowed and all shooters had to be 18 years or older. Generally, the range is set up for bench rest shooting at 100 and 200 yards. The Doctor’s rules were no Sunday morning shooting before noon, no fifty-caliber or larger rifles, paper targets only, and no automatic weapons (not sure if he means semi-autos). I didn't join last year because of gas prices and the distance I have to drive to get to the range. I'm not sure what the Doctor is going to do this year, your best bet is to go to the range and speak with the Doctor personally.

I was just told that Doc sold the range in Wapwallopen. I am not sure what is happening with it now as Doc isn't going to be back in town for the next month or so.

Someone told me the other day that the property up there was not sold and the Doc was not insured for anything i thought that may be important to anyone who does go to the range. If someone out there knows more please let us know.

Re: John Palmisano Memorial Range in Wapwallopen
Just FYI incase anyone doesn't know, I live right down the road from the range, the "closed" sign was removed a few days ago and another put up saying "closed permanently as of May 13 09" and something about contacting Doc for more info I believe...it's hard to read the smaller print while driving. Just thought I'd post what I know.

Very unfortunate; the numbers of places to shoot are dwindling and the numbers of idiots at those remaining places are increasing. I live no where near the state border and I am starting to see a lot more out of state plates at the state ranges. strange ..
The only easy day was yesterday
Does anyone know the number for 9-1-1?
