    Default Chambersburg Mall OC

Well I did it... Normally I'm not a mall person, but had to do some Christmas shopping. Mall security glared, but after the look I gave back like "try it, I know the laws" they just sort of walked past. Either 1. They didn't care or 2. the mall doesn't prohibit firearms or 3. They really didn't notice *cough* condition white *cough* Who knows, it was interesting none the less.

Good deal. How long did it take you to get out of there with all that construction? I was there yesterday and ended up going down 997 to Rt.30.

Good lord... I said screw that I went up Walker Rd. to Smoketown Rd. and around the back way. I sat in that mess a few nights ago. It took a half an hour from the 2nd Mall entrance to McDonalds

Pro2a, just an FYI so you don't get yourself into any muddy water, since that is private property they have the complete and total right to request you to take it to your vehicle if you are not law enforcement. Refusing will result in them contacting said law enforcement, just wanted to throw that out there to any one so no one gets into a scuffle, esp. during the Holiday season.

Well given his "I know the laws" quote, I was just making sure...apologies for any insults, it was unintended.

    spitfyre,

    First, welcome to PAFOA.

Second, while your statements are absolutely correct, they are also already well-known by most of us who open carry on a regular basis. I have open carried around Chambersburg, other parts of PA, and several other states for over 18 months now.

While I understand that property owners have the right to request that I cover my firearm, or leave it behind, to date, that simply hasn't happened. Despite hundreds of OC outings, most in the greater Chambersburg area (including the Chambersburg Mall), I have never been asked to cover or leave by any store, restaurant or any other business. I do realize that this could happen on any occasion, but it hasn't yet.

Most OCers know the laws and the whole in and out for their states. Plus have common sense to use retention holsters, etc.

I guess none of those "no guns" signs were spotted at this mall.
    LOL, I am a woman...
