    Default Maine and Delaware

I assume since Delaware now honors Maine permits, my Maine non-resident permit is good there and I can carry concealed? I didn't hear any stipulations about resident or non-resident. Anyone know for sure?

I've also checked both Attorney General websites, handgunlaw.us and carryconcealed.net and don't see anything specific about it. My assumption is I am legal, but I don't want to test the waters and be illegal.

I can't say for sure, but since a non-resident UT or FL license is recognized, it would make sense that a ME non-resident license would be too.

I know some states don't recognize any non-resident permits, but I've never heard of any that honor some non-resident permits, but not others (assuming reciprocity for all states involved).

That makes the most sense, and was basically what I was assuming. Oh well, looks like I will be calling the Delaware AG office sometime for a definite answer.

Since none of the Delaware members have chimed in here, you may want to go ask them.

i contacted Maine state police. Maine does not have any reciprocity agreements yet. Where does the OP see that their is reciprocity with Delaware and maine.

handgunlaws.us is not reporting such reciprocity either.

you are correct . delaware honors maine. but maine non resident is 50 bucks. getting utah or florida to carry in delaware would be a better bargain.

There is no reciprocity. Delaware honors Maine permits, not the other way around. My question is simply if this includes Maine non-resident permits as well. As stated above I assume this is the case as I have not seen anything saying otherwise.

The OP already has a Maine non-resident because he frequently travels to Maine (where PA, UT, and FL licenses are not recognized). Since he already has that license, he wants to know if it can be used in DE as well, rather than having to acquire yet another license to be legal there.
