Oaks PA Jan 3 and 4

January 3 & 4 Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Southeastern Pa (in the beautiful suburbs just northwest of Philadelphia) 700 tables, at 422 Business Center, Oaks, Pa. 19456. This is an attractive new expo center with free parking for thousands of cars and many attractions nearby (restaurants, motels, movies, fun sports, and retail outlets. You can expect this to be the big show that replaces our former Fort Washington Expo Center Show with some of the finest sporting rifles, shotguns, & handguns; edged weapons; and military items from all of our country's great conflicts. This is actually working out pretty good--last weekend was Valley Forge, this weekend is Days Inn, Allentown and the following week is Oaks.

The more I think about it, the more I think it is going to be the VF gun show in a different location.

It'll be the same vendors, which isn't a bad thing, but, if you're looking for something specific and it wasn't at VF, it probably won't be at Oaks.

I'm hoping that there will be more "small business" or "personal" vendors at this show. I find that you get the best deals from them, with a little haggling that is.

I hope at least one "same dealer" is there. I bought this POS holographic scope.
The side to side adjustment has free play that works out to 3' at 50 yards.
Every time you fire (installed on .22 rifle) the dot changes left to right.
We will see what the guy says, he did say "and it has a lifetime warranty".

How early is early? I mean, when does it start? I'm assuming 9:00 like a normal show, but I don't see anything on the website.

From whats on the phillyexpocenter.com website, following a link from the calendar, it looks like the hours are 9 - 5 Sat. and 9 - 4 Sun. I really can't say how much this upsets me as the wife and daughter will be away overnight Friday night and I will have to find something to do with my time during the day on Saturday.
