Re: Firearms Survey
Hey everyone, I just wanted to give an update on how things are going. As of today I am officially done collecting data and I have removed the link from my original post. I want to give a big thanks to everyone that filled it out and passed it on.
This whole endeavor has been very successful so far I have gotten 226 responses. 150 male and 76 female!
We spent this evening at Anthony Arms Shooting range collecting some more female responses and I attached a few pics.
And of course the gun shaped cookies!

Re: Firearms Survey
OK the rough draft is done and submitted. The final copy should be done by April 15. Here are the main takeaways of what I found:
The product adoption process has 5 steps. Females have significant difficutlies in all of the steps with the exception of awareness:
1.) Awareness - Good
2.) Interest - Females are less likely to purchase a firearm in the future than males and they have more difficulty in finding meaningful information on firearms than males.
3.) Evaluation - The vast majority of females identified personal protection as the main reason for purchasing a firearm, but at the same time do not feel that it has a relative advantage over other products such as pepper spray.
4.) Trial - Females find it extremely important to try a firearm before they buy it and that need is not being met.
5.) Adoption/Rejection - Because there are so many obstacles before this step most females don't even get this far and this is evidenced in the low number of firearms they own.
