Disable my S&W internal lock
Should I disable the internal lock on my S&W 638, or is all that fuss a lot of overblown hysteria? And if I should disable it, could anybody tell me how to do it or provide a link to a site where such info could be found? Thanks!

Re: Disable my S&W internal lock
I would not.
I have read reports of S&W locks going down, but only on the net.
I have seen quite a few S&W revolvers with locks run 100% and never have any problems. I have yet to see one jam up.
Over the summer we ran many rounds through a S&W .460 and the big .500 Smith with no problems. I figure if the .500's recoil dosent jam up the lock, nothing will.
I think the problem is almost as frequent as the Glock going Kaboom... it happens, but people also get hit with lightning.
