Cheap IWB Holster Question
I currently have a normal Galco holster for my PPK that works well, but is difficult to conceal. I generally wear fairly tight clothing, and am a pretty small guy (5'7", 140lbs). I'm 22, and would prefer being able to not have to buy a new wardrobe or start dressing in baggy clothing. I was thinking an IWB holster would help. I have some room in my jeans, so I don't think an IWB would have a fitting problem.
I'm also on a college student budget, so money really matters. I know you don't want to go cheap with something so important, but I was looking at this holster from Galco:

$30 bucks seems cheap, but I was under the impression Galco was a reliable holster company? Does anyone have any experience with this particular holster?

Re: Cheap IWB Holster Question
I am new to carrying a handgun and asked the same question on this board awhile back. A member on here pointed me towards www.theholsterstore.com and i am glad they did. I ended up with an IWB from there in the 30 dollar range and am very pleased so far. They seem to have reasonable prices, a nice selection, good service, and fast shipping. I like mine so far although I have limited experience with it and have absolutely nothing else to compare it to so my opinion doesn't hold much weight. Worth checking out though for sure. Good luck.

I have the Pro Carry II and it does the job fairly well, especially for the priceThe first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Cheap IWB Holster Question
Check out High Noon Holsters. . .

The 'Bare Asset' and 'Mr Softy', and maybe some others fall into your price range. I have read on various gun forum's that folks are happy with High Noon's products.

Re: Cheap IWB Holster Question
I have a Bianchi 6D ATD that I use for my G19. IWB at 4:00. They make one sized for the PPK. Should be priced in the sub $30 range. I picked mine up on a whim at Bass Pro for $25 and have been using it daily for nearly 2 years.

It is not smooth leather. It is suede I believe.
I like the thumb break. It was easily adjusted to work with my G19. Since I do Open Carry, I wanted something with at least a thumb break for retention and I don't like the "plasticky" holsters. The main drawback is that the leather is not stiffened and re-holstering is not possible without removing the holster from your waistband. We the people have not only the right but the responsibility to hang tyrants for treason.

+1
I have a Bare Asset for my SigPro which is not a small pistol by any stretch. It's thick and the butt is wide. However I can conceal it fine under a sweatshirt.
Due to back issues I have resorted to carrying my G26 in a Don Hume 721OT, which is an OWB holster. Conceals perfectly under a T-shirt.

Re: Cheap IWB Holster Question
All of the IWBs I use are Don Hume clip-ons. They work great, whether it's for a full sized M1911 or a 3" S&W Model 65. I ordered my Glock 19 holster from Gunner's Alley. Here's their page for that holster. BTW, they're cheaper than Hume themselves. My total with shipping was $34.00.

Re: Cheap IWB Holster Question
Thanks everyone. I ended up ordering the "Mister Softy" from High Noon. I didn't get the Bare Asset because I don't know much about cants.
