Can you be denied for...

Lets say hypothetically I wanted to buy 10 guns in 5 days. Could I be put on hold or "pending" as they call it when running the background check for buying so many guns just to "make sure" I'm really not crazy? Has this happened?

Legally speaking no, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened before.

If you bought all 10 guns in the same purchase though, they'd only have to call you in once, and so you wouldn't be flagged for anything (unless two or more of them were handguns, then the ATF gets a nice notification).

The answer is no. They (PSP/PICS) does not know how many guns you are purchasing at a clip.

Do they have a flag setup for if you have a certain number of checks done in a certain amount of time? Maybe, but I doubt they would put you in research, they would likely come visit you if they had PC you were doing something illegal.

Having workd in/with/as an FFL for many years I have seen some folks that buy guns literally every week or few days and I have never once seen this happen.
