This hybrid course seeks to introduce the shooting public to the components of emergency care while in a range environement.

The first component will begin with a standardized "package" First Aid program prepared by the American Heart Association and delivered by experienced instructors (20 yr paramedic who also functions as part of the Federal Urban Search And Rescue team, and a 35 yr of experience Emergency/EMS/Trauma Physician) with emphasis on those components appropriate to the shooting environment (wound care, splinting, eye injuries, hypo/hyperthermia, bee stings, asthma, choking, diabetic crisis).

The second component is the hybrid, and will 'describe' the process that accompanies a penetrating (gunshot or stab) wound to the chest, and the lifesaving care that is conducted to manage these injuries..FOR INFORMATION ONLY, as this is considered "medical practice".

Finally, a CPR with AED (Automated External Defibrillator) progam will be completed, focusing on adults, but with infant/children instruction available for those who find it necessary.

A barrier device is included in the cost, and we expect all to 'walk away' with a functional crisis first aid kit (bleeding oriented) when complete.

This is a perfect program for Range Safety Officers or Shooting Sport Instructors and Coachs.

Pre registration (email) required not later than January 31, with a 25% ($25.00) non-refundable deposit (to defer book and supply purchases).

Course will be conducted at the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club, from 8 AM until not later than 6 PM (you can still get your honey out for Valentine's day)
