NRA Instructor Training: Basic Pistol/Home Firearms Safety

Dates: Saturday/Sunday, Feb 28/March 1, 2009
Time: 8-6 each day

Are there any prerequisites for this course?

You need to be 21 to certify, 18 for asst or 16 for apprentice; of good character and not prohib ited from handling firearms; and ought to know how to use a pistol. The rest is taught through the NRA method. Contact jason, or better yer stop by Hellertown or Langhorne Sat 12/20 and watch a basic pistol class. (Yes, you do hav e to show us you can safely handle a pistol and shoot!)

I'm seriously thinking about attending this course, but I'm two hours away and trying to set something up locally first. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't need a course like First Steps or Basic before I take the instructors course.
The safe handling and shooting part is not a problem.
