Happy Bill Of Rights Day! Dec 15th, 1791
On December 15, 1791, the new United States of America ratified the Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution, confirming the fundamental rights of its citizens. The First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion, speech, and the press, and the rights of peaceful assembly and petition. Other amendments guarantee the rights of the people to form a "well-regulated militia," to keep and bear arms, the rights to private property, fair treatment for accused criminals, protection from unreasonable search and seizure, freedom from self-incrimination, a speedy and impartial jury trial, and representation by counsel.

Such a happy day for America ,
Yet such a sad day because to a lot of people, today means nothing .
Oh well, some of us can enjoy our freedom for now:,

Bill of Rights day Dec 15, 1791
I wanted to remind everyone that Dec 15 is the Bill of Rights day, a day that is sadly no longer remembered by most Americans.
Here are a couple of stories about history of the Bill of Rights.

Since I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for here are a couple of my comments on the Bill of Rights.
No state would enter into our current Constitution without further restrictions, limitation and clarification on the great sweeping powers granted to our government by the new Constitution. The people that actually fought a long bloody war for independence against a tyrannical government had a great distrust and fear of over stepping of governmental powers. I know it hard to believe that is could have ever happen here, that we use to a government that had a total disregard for its subjects, taxing them in excess of 10%, regulating all aspects of their lives, attempting to confiscate privately owned firearms, in general stomping their basic human rights and freedoms without their consent.
They had a word for that from of out of control government they called it TYRANNY.
I know it’s really hard to imagine that our current government or any agencies would ever turn into such an abusive out of control form of government, or ever violate its Citizens Constitutional Right, trust or confidence. It’s even harder to even conceive that anyone in the government would put their own agenda, enriching themselves, wasting public money, or would not fully honor their oath to support the Constitution as written.
After years of hundreds of small, reasonable, common sense, temporary, regulations, feel good laws, infringements, restriction and numerous interpretations of the bill of rights, always done in the noble cause of all for the publics own good.
I have determined the third amendment is still holding strong, everyone can still fully enjoy the 3rd without any intrusion. As for the other nine it’s sadly a different story.
The 3rd amendment is an on very short list of items that hasn’t be done away with yet, so proudly proclaim the victory that the 3rd amendment as written still endures in the 21 century.

The third will be usurped, like the others, should the need arise.
