The screw is a non-issue.
Remember, the barrels were lead filled.............(smack head)

Yes, the missing screw.

Why are the barrels filled with lead? Sounds really, really stupid to me. Don't they trust the Coasties with unloaded rifles?

Lead filled?!?!?!?!?! But... but... but.... those rifles could have been given to the CMP for sale to civilians. If they don't trust coasties with operable guns, give them the rifle version of blue guns and let us have the real ones.
