I have been using the RCBS (Pact) dispenser and digital scale for about 10 years and have had very good luck with the combination. I bought it to allow my brother to use IMR powder in .223 reloads. It is consistently within 0.01 of its’ setpoint.

I am still fairly new to reloading, but Mrs. Plinker gave me an RCBS Chargemaster Combo for my birthday a couple months ago. I'm reloading mainly for fun right now, so I am not trying to crank out a thousand rounds in an evening or anything like that. It works very well, and makes the whole process more relaxing. I started out with the Lee premeasured disks, and got tired of them pretty quick. And measuring out by hand using a regular scale is very tedious. Then I tried the Lee thingie (I forget what it is called) that allows you to change the size of the charge being thrown from the auto disk powder dispenser, and that was a pain in the butt to get it adjusted. So when she offered to get me this RCBS thing for my birthday, I jumped on it.

I should say that when using the RCBS dispenser, I use a Lee dipper or a teaspoon and when the dispenser begins to feed (it won’t start until the scale is at zero) I slowly place about 2/3 of the desired load into the scale pan and let the dispenser top it off. Saves a lot of time.

    Good thinking 99!

That sounds like a great time saving tip.

I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.

I use the Lyman DPS 1200 II and love it. It throws very accurate loads with any powder I put through it. That said, I mainly use it for loading my rifle rounds. When loading a lot of handgun rounds I use an RCBS Lil Dandy powder measure and check every 10 throws using the scale on the Lyman.
