    Default Concealed carry insurance

Hey just wondering if anyone carries liability insurance strictly for concealed carry. I asked an insurance agent about it. He claimed thier agency does not do that kind of thing, but I was wondering if anyone has coverage and which agency they are covered under. Thanks.

I believe it's covered under homeowners/renters general liability insurance. Make sure you purchace additional 1-2 million in blanket liability coverage. This coverage requires higher auto and home limits, but in my opinion it's worth it. If you need an off-set to save some money, look into limited tort auto option.

I had a Property & Casuality license, but that was some time ago.

    Talk to your agent...

Any accidents should be covered under homeowners.

Generally intended and generally not covered by traditional insurance.

Read the thread link posted by Mr_Tom. You need a separate policy and every such policy I am aware of will reimburse you for defense costs after it's all over, if you are acquitted and/or have judgement entered in your favor in a civil suit. In other words, you pay up front for all defense costs.

ER Munro company handles professional liability insurance for Constables which includes a firearms rider. They may offer something similar for citizens.

I am not sure that the OP was concerned strictly about such a thing as a negligent discharge. IMO there are a lot of other liability concerns that we all should have. This topic interests me as well. I have been meaning to contact the NRA regarding getting details of what they offer. I am reluctant to broach the topic with my regular insurance agent. Call me nuts but I have heard some stories 3rd hand about people getting their HO insurance canceled and I can not afford for that to happen.

I goggled "NRA liability insurance" and found the following site. It looks interesting. I plan to investigate further.

Thank you to the OP for reminding me about this issue.
