The situation of gun in car was presented as a concern and the fact is that it is an exception, just like #11 (Having an LTCF) is an exception.
The relevancy is that $25 and a little leg work saves any headache and worries in the long run.

If that's your concern you should sell all your guns as there is always something they will not know. To each his own. Buying "permits" to do things not requisite of having a permit is something I will never do.

I agree about this. For this reason, I stressed for the wife to get her LTCF. And she did. I would often comment about her getting it until we were at her in-laws one day. I was off with my father-in-law doing something and she called and asked if she could take me car to do some errands (she had gotten a ride to her in-laws and didn't have her car.) I said yes, but you will have to take out all the guns and still in the car. Most were not loaded, but since I have a LTCF, I don't worry about mags being separate from guns and what-not. So just to be safe, I wanted her to unload everything from the car. She huffed about it, and I made the comment that she wouldn't even have to worry if she had her LTCF. Within a month, she had it.

Now, I knew of the statue that Rich listed, but like Al said, it just makes things easier for unknowing LEOs.

This is an absurd suggestion to say the least. There's fighting the system and there's the prevention of fighting the system.

The suggestion was an example of the futility of working around the system.
Like I said. To each his own. I think it's "absurd" to buy a license when none is needed. I never said that anyone HAD to fight the system. I would rather people stand up for themselves. Don't really care if you do or don't.
