They have an ogive that Speer likes to use.

Not saying they are Speer, buy sure look like Speer.

And if the bullets aren't damaged/corroded - there is nothing wrong with using them. Fuck, tribesmen in the Afghanistan region use rocks in their flintlocks and matchlocks. ....millions/billions of years old bullets.

Reloading data the same for flat base and concave base? I haven't seen any info on the internet or in the reloading manuals I have.

With only 50 bullets just load them up to a mid range target load and shoot them. There is no point in trying to work up to max.

i have no idea why someone from Speer would tell you not to use "old" bullets.

That concave is minor. You'd have to get scientific to measure the volume of the bullet below the knurl versus the volume of a flat based bullet of the same weight to see if it there is a difference, giving both being seated and crimped at the knurl. The base might be lower to offset the concave - resulting in a same overall volume below the knurl as a flat base.

If you're trying to run max loads, then it might be of importance. But if you're going to play in the normal realm, I don't think it will matter.

I personally would load some mid-level charges for 158gr bullet and send them.
