Police routinely refuse to return guns if they aren't "registered" to the person, in the Record of Sale Database that "isn't registration".

There's really no non-fascist reason to maintain a searchable database of guns & owners.

I doubt it's helped solve many (if any) crimes.

When police look to return a gun they find, they could use the RoS database, sure; or when people have guns stolen, they could report them stolen, and police could check THAT database instead. The voluntary one.

Main reason for "universal registration" is so that when the fascists ban a category of guns (or all guns), people know they MUST comply, even with unconstitutional laws, because otherwise, a SWAt team will show up at their door with a list.

This is why the Woke fascists also demand "lost or stolen gun reporting", because they want to pre-empt anyone saying "oh, that gun was lost years ago". If your name is attached to a fun, you better have it, or have reported it stolen, or else you go to the Re-education Camps that Hillary mentioned already.

The Left is playing a very long game, to disarm us, strip our other rights away, and turn the planet into Elites & helpless Peasants. Open borders, bad schools, the destruction of the dollar as a storehouse of wealth, are all part of that plan. Not a coincidence that the USA and Europe are all allowing floods of Stone Age peasants to invade unchecked.
