You don*t like being able to open it fast with one hand? I won*t buy one without it after having it.

I always do. I use a knife like 20 times a day at work. That's what thumb studs are for.

They make quick work of seat belts, accessory belts and thick rope, but I prefer non-serrated too.

Once I figured out how to use the hole, I found it way better than trying to flick my stud.

Well, first off, let us know what you want in a knife.

Do you want a small, medium ot large knife? Traditional slip joint, lockback, liner lock, Swiss Army knife, automatic (out the aide or out the front), pocket clip, no pocket clip, one hand opening, etc.

Kinda need to know what you would use it for or style that you jight like, before a recommendation can be made.

It's probably just a mental thing, like two tone pistols.

It does seem like it would compromise the structural integrity of the blade.

I carry one most days at work. I reserve the 940 for nights out.
