When I went through the process in late 2022, the permit was around $50 and the fingerprints were $60. Now, the permit is $200. Training will run you $100-200 at most ranges in PA. I've seen NJ ranges charging $250-300 for training.

Several hundred dollars. Apparently the price of the trainings can vary. I have seen a total cost tallied at $750, and the state is considering doubling the cost of the carry permit.

Pay the money and jump through the hoops. It's your second amendment right.

And repeat all that again in two years correct?

No where near worth it to me, I'm rarely in NJ on purpose, even more so now.

    Thanks for the replies.

Fingerprints may not need to be repeated every 2 years, but I'm pretty sure everything else does. I think the actual shooting part has changed over the last year and a half, but when it started, everyone basically had to take the same qualifying course as police.

Myself and a friend recently became certified instructors and will be doing NJ CCW classes hopefully by the end of the month in the Philly area. I have a meeting with a range on Thursday and will hopefully have an agreement with them to host the classes monthly/bi-monthly.

Let me know...we should have 5-6 people interested in going to your class. We are in the Southern NJ and Bucks county locations. Is your class a "one and done" type thing where most everything can be compiled, signed off then sent in?

EDIT---Yikes! $500 total is really steep. I have to think about this one.
