It works. I don't have the ability to use my phone to view stuff, but that's an issue with my phone.
If I want to view/save video, I pull the micro SD card and put it in my laptop.

I don't have any experience with other cams to compare it to.
The one I posted pics of is no longer made (R1) and I have the R2-4K for my front cam.

Let me try to find some pics I grabbed from vid footage...

Here's me running to get the clippings blown off before the rain glues them to the driveway and sidewalk. LOL

Here's a guy walking past my parked trailer. Some people elsewhere were claiming that the quality would not be good enough to make a positive ID.
This is looking through tinted rear glass - looks pretty clear to me.

    Looks clear to me...

    Looks clear to me... LOL!

Even in the tunnel I can see the plate

Can read the happy panhandler's sign...

    License plate...

    See Spot run...

See EM carry Spot back to where he belongs!

    See runner run...

See EM getting fucking WET again...

I wasn’t given an authoritative tone and I didn’t sense any vitriolic vibrations emanating from this guy. Anyway, I was open carrying one of my 1911s on my strong side, right side. I doubt he saw it and I didn’t bother to mention it. We had a brief conversation about my car, he complimented my 2018 Dodge Charger, which is ironically a common police car these days. The interaction lasted about 4 minutes and as he walked away he said, have a nice day and drive safe. I honestly don’t think I was going 10mph over the limit. These were small suburban blocks in this town, I wouldn’t have felt the need to or had any reason to cover a short distance just to come to another stop sign. Even though this was an abuse of power stop, he wasn’t rude so I just should forget about it. It’s kind of annoying getting pulled over for the first time in my life and a bit offensive and it did irk me when I saw those lights but it is what it is. I used to be a member here years ago, I couldn’t remember my username so, I made a new one. I’m not a noob I promise.
You mad because you got popped, boy you’re really gonna be mad when the man up above pulls your card out.

I didn't want to mount the rear cam directly to the glass because I need to open either the glass, or the entire back hatch many times during each day and it would also require having excess power cordage hanging there to allow for the open/closing. I had to find a better way.
My solution was to take a piece of Plexiglass and bend it to create a "mount" that the dash cam suction cup would stick to. I then tucked the Plexiglass mount under the edge of the rear weatherstripping, and it hold it in place.
This may not work for others, but thought I'd share, as an example of "alternate methods" for mounting rear cams.
I've watched lots of vids where cams don't stay mounted after impact. Thoughts?

Isn't the 'important' video pre and up to impact anyway?

I can read tags in EM's shots there. Do you have that set on highest def? I don't think I did because that uses up more space on the card. Not that that's really important because it hold a lot and just overwrites when it runs out of room.

And as for experience...I have another cam that I bought previously but it is not user friendly.

How did he clock your speed since local PD's don't have radar?

Go get a CDL and crisscross the US so you can experience that 4 or 5 times a week. LMAO
