Re: 1911 for carry. a production or a custom model?
This is a very well laid out pistol and the price point is not outrageous compared to a lot of the other non- spec 1911s. There are a few updates on this particular model that enhance performance without affecting reliability or reducing ability to carry everyday as a FIGHTING pistol.
I deal with 1911s a lot. I’ve carried one my entire adult life. That said, fighting pistols are my jammie. There’s no shortage of time proven fighting pistols a self respecting person might carry. Hats off though to Jenn and her impeccable taste. Some of you low brow modern men could learn a thing or about class from her. You should listen…Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter

People tell me this is a "1911" - I don't think I would want to use it for my EDC though.

Probably just you, but for the slow... Flannel Daddy = Garand Thumb (i.e. GT). He wears a flannel shirt a lot, hence the Flannel Daddy moniker. A popular YouTuber that puts out semi-entertaining content about guns, tactics, etc. A lot of the nimrod tacticool types like to worship him and his buddies. I can only take his content in doses because I find him annoying AF, but occasionally he reviews something I'm interested in that no one else has. Charlie on his channel is pretty funny, but only in really small doses as well. Any more than two or three minutes and you realize he's just a dick.

The 1911 is a fine gun, still one of my favorites, but it is not the end-all-be-all of defensive handguns. Not even close. But if that's what you want to carry, who cares what anyone else thinks?

Love Emptymag*s 1911. The rare *Huggy Bear* model. You don*t see those on every street corner.
I might have to revise my list of top drawer 1911 pistols.
That one is a must. Matches my burnt orange 1972 Cadillac Eldorado with the deep pile shag carpets.Crusader's local #556 South Central Asia chapter
