    I would rather have all of these than one, or two (or three) of any brand of AR15.

    I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

    I prefer good quality items that works when needed to overpriced stuff that you're afraid to use in case it gets damaged!

    It really depends on what it is. Cheap glass isn’t worth having. Some cheap firearms are solid platforms. Cheap primers are gold.

    It shifts over time as well. When I was young, I made do with what I could afford. Now that I’m older and my nut is made, I buy better things.

    Nothing wrong with that, it*s all personal preference. I*m down to 5 AR*s that are not SBR*s, most of mine now are SBR*s, which none of I plan to ever sell anyway so what I paid vs what I*d get means nothing. I’ll buy once cry once when it comes to certain things.

    I wonder if my Model 94 would be better as an SBR (;

    Well, it would cut the magazine capacity. I think it only holds maybe 5 rounds as it is.

    Agreed.

    But, I also don't (typically) splurge loot just bc I want something... Though, if I do... ok... (says dude that came home with a 650i convertible on a whim once.. ha)

    I feel like I'd rather have my few legit setups than a bunch of neat stuff. So, for me, BCM strikes that balance as the basis from which to start. Sure I'd like to put a few tricked out Knights in the safe, but some Knights Armament rifles aren't going to increase my success for the reasons I have the BCMs. I've considered getting a bunch of "Poverty Pony" ARs to burry in my backyard and arm the neighborhood (should the need arise... lol).

    I'll spend a bit more for better/lighter plates; but to me, that's like spending more for great tires... I dunno. We each have our "reasons".

    -=-

    On another note... this "Quality v. Quantity" thing is a neat framework through which to consider (formal) training too.... great discussion here. Cool.
