Is your formula for Ed's red just atf and acetone? (Edit: as delkal mentions)
I use his original formula of equal parts kerosene, atf and mineral spirits, omitting the acetone.
Remember reading somewhere the acetone was mainly to clean wad fouling out of shotguns.

Few years ago had some fluid film left over from a project and wiped a couple shotguns down that are kept in an unheated garage. Gotta say I'm impressed with it. Tad pricey around $12, but a can should last years in this application since it should be used sparingly.

I always add acetone because it is good for dissolving anything lacquer like in ther powder residue. I do notice a difference in cleaning power with an older bottle of Eds Red when the acetone starts to evaporate so i occasionally add a little more and give the bottle a shake. Some say acetone is bad for some stock finishes (and it probably is when it is more concentrated or on long contact) but I never had a problem with Ed's Red.

I did take a quick look at your link and there was a small error about acetone. It is not an aromatic solvent and as solvents go is pretty benign so you don't need forced air ventilation. It is probably less toxic than mineral spirits and I never heard of warnings on a bottle of nail polish remover which is mostly acetone.

Mobil one for oil and Super Lube for grease. I got a bunch of syringes cheap from Amazon that I use for applying it.

This. The life of a engine is much harsher than a firearm. I'm 5 years into a quart and it's still pretty full. I use M1 synthetic grease in my old war horses.

I have it but don't use it in cold weather...I put it in my older P series Sig and it was a bit gummy at the outdoor range.

I usually clean with Hoppes #9 and then use a lot of CLP on ARs.

On my striker-fired pistols, I learned a hard lesson a while back about temperature and hydraulic jamming of the striker. I carried a dead man's gun that day. Not good. So, now I clean them with Hoppes, dry the hell outa the striker mechanism and anything that it touches.. Then use a silicone cloth to wipe that area down for the slightest amount of dry lube.

If it's a weapon that just going to sit in the safe for a long time, I clean it as above and then heavily coat it in Rem Oil or Mobile One. I've got some older shot guns (R870s, R1100, & a Win 1300) that have been a lot of hunting in canoes... so they have some deep finish damage here and there. I also will lube the outside of them with thick oil if going out in the rain/etc. (making sure to keep the handling surfaces not so slippery).
