    Sihayr Dickerson faces aggravated assault charges and firearms offenses after he was found armed with a rifle near Scranton High School Wednesday morning.

    SCRANTON, Pa. — A teen is locked up in Lackawanna County Prison charged as an adult after investigators say he was found carrying a rifle near Scranton High School around 11:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

    Sihayr Dickerson, 16, of Wilkes-Barre, faces aggravated assault and firearms offenses.

    According to court paperwork, a woman saw Dickerson exiting a bus at the Lackawanna County Transit Center Wednesday morning, acting suspiciously and called 911.

    Glad nothing happened but is it possible we're jumping the gun a bit? Slew of charges, when he hasn't actually done anything feels like it opens the door to thought crime.

    Evidently Scranton has a massive gang problem. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that I felt was a banger while out and about

    It looks like the transit center is about a mile away from the school, down by the Steamtown mall and the train museum.
