PA resident transfering long gun to NY resident

I always using FFL for long firearms out of state. Additionally I only transfer handguns with an FFL which is the Law.

Just to clarify...the FFL requirment for intrastate handgun transfers is imposed by state law, not the feds. There are ~27 states that still allow private sales of handguns with no FFL requirement.

With the NICS (via PICS) checks done on handguns, all this time I just assumed it was a federal requirement. Clearly the background check system used has nothing to do with it.

Had no idea over half the country allows in-state private sales of handguns w/o FFL !
