    Default Non Resident LTC

Where is the closest Sheriff's Office to Bucks County that will issue an LTC to a nonresident. I am looking for an office that I can file my application ahead of time so I can just come and pick up or one that issues on the spot. I do have an out of state CCW.

From some interactions of some folks down in Virginia and Carolinas using PAFOA's Contact thing, Delaware County has issued to non-residents recently.

Most that are known to be friendly to non-residents are on the western half of PA. Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Jefferson, McKean, Centre, and Somerset.

I'd call Delaware Co's sheriff's office before going to make sure that they still issue to non-residents.

I don't know about "most", but Lancaster, York, and Adams all issue to non-residents.
These are the only ones I have paid attention to because of close proximity.
Lancaster would be the closest of those 3.
I would look up the Sheriff's Office for any county ahead of time and just call them.

I used Delaware County in May, it was two trips. And not on the same day.

    Two trip are not necessary...

    IMPORTANT NOTICE

For both a new license, and renewal of a current license to carry firearms you may walk-in Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Requires two visits: Application and pick-up.

For a five dollar convenience fee you may now apply on line. See online application. You will still need to make an appointment through that process. Requires only one visit: Photo, signature and issuance.

Once application is made the office has up to 45 days to issue, or deny a permit.

Bucks used to issue to NonResidents but now they do not. But being the liberal sheriff he is known to be he issues to aliens but not law abiding non residents who already have a pemit in their state. This is the new type of Sheriff in places like Delco, Chester Co., Bucks and Montco. True Democrats who go out of their way to help foreigners legal and otherwise

Yeah I guess none of the close Sheriff's Offices will anymore. They all emulate the Philly Government model. Help aliens and criminals and screw the law abiding citizens, vets and former police officers. That is why I won't ever move back to PA.
